SVG and JPEG 2000

Many apps, documents and upload forms only accept pixel images, not SVG. Some archives and professional imaging systems ask for JPEG 2000.

What changes when you convert

  • JPEG 2000 can store the image either lossy or lossless.
  • SVG is a vector format and JPEG 2000 stores pixels, so the result has a fixed size and won’t stay sharp when enlarged.
